This policy explains what information Gold Rate India ("the app") collects, how it's used, and what choices you have. We built this app to show gold and silver rates without asking for personal information, and it doesn't require account creation or sign-in.

Information we do NOT collect

Gold Rate India does not collect your name, email, phone number, location, contacts, or any other personally identifiable information. There is no user account or login.

Information stored on your device

The following preferences are saved locally on your device only (using standard Android app storage) and are never sent to our servers or anywhere else:

• Your selected city and language
• Favorite cities/metals
• Notification and background-sync preferences

Uninstalling the app removes this data.

Data used to show gold/silver rates

The app fetches current and historical gold/silver rates from our own backend service. These requests do not include any personal or device-identifying information — only the data needed to display rates (e.g. requested date range).

Advertising

Gold Rate India shows banner ads via Google AdMob to support free access to the app. AdMob may collect and use device identifiers (such as the Android advertising ID) and usage data to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads where permitted by your device settings and region. This data is collected and processed by Google, not by us directly. You can review or opt out of personalized advertising through your device's ad settings, and learn more about how Google handles this data at policies.google.com/technologies/ads and Google's own Privacy Policy.

Notifications

If you enable daily rate notifications, they are scheduled and shown entirely on your device. No notification content or schedule is sent to any server.

Permissions the app requests

• INTERNET — to fetch current gold/silver rates and load ads
• RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED — to re-schedule background rate syncs after your device restarts
• Notification permission (Android 13+) — only if you enable daily rate notifications

Children's privacy

Gold Rate India is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
